So you’d be forgiven for thinking this website is meant to persuade you to hire us to coach you. You might be thinking, “this is a coaching company, of course they’re going to try to persuade me to hire a coach.” And for some companies, that may well be true. BUT, we’re a little different.
You see, at Padraig our goal is to work with clients who are going to be phenomenally successful with our help. We get rave reviews from clients and, frankly, we like having that phenomenal reputation and we want to keep it. If working with us isn’t going to give you an amazing return on your investment, then we’re going to suggest we don’t work together. Don’t worry, if that’s the case, we’ll send you some other suggestions that might be helpful. We want our website to be overflowing with rave reviews and I personally want you to be as successful as you can be, even if that means you don’t work with us.
Now having said that, almost anyone who is great at their chosen field has a coach to help them. Whether they are an athlete, an actor, or even the CEO of Google, they have someone coaching them. This doesn’t mean they couldn’t do it on their own, or that the coach is better than them at their field of expertise, and it certainly doesn’t mean they were “under-performing” in their role !

As Coaches we use our intuition, provide deep active listening and, create awareness by asking curious and powerful questions. Perhaps most importantly, we coach our clients to notice self-perceived limits and become aware of different perspectives, so that they can break through their own hurdles and achieve things they didn’t know they could achieve. Of course, we hold our clients accountable throughout the coaching process. The steps we go through with our clients are engage, enlighten, empower, excel and emerge. This style of coaching, encouraging the client to find their own solutions through structured and insightful questioning is referred to as the “Excelerator Approach.”
Excelerator coaching is committed to change that is transformative. This style of executive coaching creates leaps in awareness that open up new possibilities in dramatic ways. When people are able to let go of restrictive ways of seeing themselves and the world, they discover more authentic, creative and resourceful ways of creating fulfilling lives and vibrant workplaces.
You will not only move forward in your career success, but deepen your learning in the process. By achieving that deeper learning about yourself, you help others grow around you and advance the success of the whole organization.
We generally meet for one hour every two weeks. Our clients tell us they very much look forward to these opportunities to “reflect” and “think” – two things so few of us find time to do in our busy careers. During this time your coach will provoke new thinking and deeper analysis by asking probing questions and pointing out observations that may not have been apparent. Your coach will push you to consider the “why” behind things; to solve problems you haven’t previously solved and to reach successes you haven’t previously obtained.
Before starting the coaching process we will confirm with you your goals for yourself and your organization and we will then help you achieve them.

The coaches of Padraig Coaching & Consulting Inc. are ALL internationally certified executive coaches with the International Coach Federation and ALL have Graduate certificates in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. This sets us apart in the marketplace. You will be able to interview us and choose the coach who most resonates with your needs.
We will hold you fully capable of achieving your own success, and we use that belief to guide us as we push you to reach past where you have reached before.
Our Approach to Billing
Padraig Coaching & Consulting Inc provides Executive Coaching on a retainer basis, we don’t charge by the hour. This means we do not charge for each meeting but rather we charge a flat fee for a fixed contract. During that contract your coach will meet with you by phone or skype for one-to-one coaching sessions once every two weeks, on average. If an extra session is required, that’s no problem — we don’t add to your billing — it’s all part of our contract.
In addition, the client may contact the coach at any time during the retainer period, to ask follow up questions, seek “laser-focused coaching” for a new issue, or to simply engage around a challenge. Again, it’s all included in our flat fee. We will leave clients with questions to ponder between sessions and tasks to advance their progress. Again, it’s all included in our fee.
Our goal is to ensure you have the full support you need from your executive coach, with certainty up front on the cost.
Our coaching process is entirely confidential and generally one-on-one with each leader. When appropriate, and if the leader agrees, a coach may from time-to-time suggest a coached meeting between a leader and their team or their supervisor. Our full confidentiality policy is outlined further in this proposal.
How Do I Select a Coach?
When choosing a coach who is right for you, we suggest you consider a few things:
- What do you want to accomplish? Has the prospective coach helped others in similar circumstances? Can they share examples (without names, of course) or do they have references they can share?
- Is the prospective coach certified by an International Coaching body like the International Coach Federation? Are they trained in coaching through a Graduate level education?
- Do they have their own leadership experience?
- Do your timelines fit with the coach’s timelines? How often do you want to meet, how long do you want the contract to be?
- Do they have a strong confidentiality policy?
- Do they have other coaches who mentor them? Do they have their own coach? (ie. do they practice their own approach?) Do they occasionally have their coaching audited to ensure they are doing their best?
- Are they results oriented? Do they insist on identifying goals before beginning and then measuring progress against those goals?
How Much Does It Cost?
You should expect to pay $250 – $500 per hour (or $500 – $1000 per month) for a very good executive coach. Many coaches will bill by the hour, some will bill by the month or by the contract. You should expect to see many times return on your investment. In other words, for every dollar you spend on coaching you should see 10x, 20x or even more in return through savings in your business practices, gains in your operations, decreased turnover of staff, improved relationships with clients and colleagues, etc.
