The Secret to Building a Stronger Workforce

How many times are people told to, “treat other people the way you’d like to be treated”? However, the Golden Rule, as it’s called, is wrong. Different people have different behaviour styles, so what works for one person may not be what another person needs. 

Our Everything DiSC® Workplace workshop helps participants to better understand their own styles and the styles of others in the workplace. That self-awareness and understanding of how to recognize and understand other styles helps to determine what strategies will strengthen workplace relationships.

The Workshop Overview

During the Everything DiSC® Workplace workshop, participants come to understand and appreciate their own workplace behaviour style and the styles of their coworkers.

This workshop includes:

  • Online pre-work.
  • A custom assessment with personalized tips for each participant. 
  • Engaging facilitation with helpful video.

By recognizing the needs and priorities of others in the workplace, participants can respond in ways that are much more productive and mutually beneficial. Improved communication strengthens relationships and morale, which in turn improves productivity. 

What Participants Learn

By the end of the Everything DiSC® Workplace workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Discover how their styles affect their workplace relationships and explore the priorities that drive them at work.
  • Recognize and understand other styles, including what works for them and what challenges them when interacting with various styles.
  • Create strategies and plans to develop more effective relationships.

The Workshop Modules

Module 1

Discovering Individual DiSC Style

  • Learn about the DiSC model and the Everything DiSC Workplace Map.
  • Identify their personality style and explore the priorities that drive them during the workday.
  • Discover the similarities and differences among styles.

Module 2

Understanding Other Styles

  • Discover their reactions to different personality styles.
  • Identify what works for them and what challenges them when working with each style.
  • Use the DiSC model to understand the people they work with.

Module 3

Building More Effective Relationships

  • Learn how others have bridged their differences using DiSC.
  • Practice using DiSC to build more effective relationships at work.
  • Develop plans for building more effective relationships.

The Personalized Team Profile

Adding a deeply customized aspect to this program, each participant completes the DiSC Workplace assessment ahead of the workshop and then we provide them the customized profile that results. We use the profile throughout the workshop, allowing participants to make very personal connections to the content.

Before and After the Workshop

In many ways, the follow-up effort after a workshop is just as important as the workshop itself. Your participants will have a great day of learning in the workshop but it’s how they apply that learning back at work, in the real world, that is going to make the difference and boost your ROI.

Setting Up Success before the Workshop

Prior to the course, participants will complete an online leadership assessment called the Everything DiSC® Workplace profile. This generates a customized, incredibly insightful and useful profile for them, based on understanding their DiSC Style, understanding other styles and building more effective relationships. We will use this assessment throughout the course.

Applying the Learning after the Workshop

To ensure we deliver the most success for your participants, Padraig follows-up the workshop with a number of methods including:

Follow-up emails reminding participants of different parts of the curriculum and prompting them to think about that content and to apply it in that moment at work.

Each follow-up touch point also includes tools the participant can download to apply the learning.

As well, since this workshop uses the DiSC Workplace profile, we provide each participant with complimentary access to comparison reports — in-depth comparisons between them and a colleague to help them build an even stronger relationship. When both parties agree, the system will generate a Comparison Report for each of them, with new and different detail than was covered in the group workshop.

Participants in this program benefit from ongoing learning with our Productive Conflict workshop. That program takes a deeper dive into the productive and destructive behaviours in conflict and how to better manage toward productive behaviours. It’s a great follow-up to DiSC Workplace and is useful even before conflict occurs.
